Concrete support for the children of the Viviane Foundation in Mont Ngafula (Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo - DRC) - Waldensian Church 2021-2022
The Project, made possible by the 2021 call for proposals from the Waldensian Church and implemented by DICA ETS, is carried out by the latter and the Viviane Foundation, our partner in the DRC. The project will have a total duration of one year.
The proposed project, developed in collaboration with the Waldensian Church of Pisa, aims at a specific objective: to support the development of the rehabilitation center of the Viviane Foundation by strengthening the laboratory for the production and repair of prostheses and mobility aids. This is accompanied by a general objective: to ensure adequate healthcare for the assistance and care of disabled children and adolescents in the project intervention area.
The expected outcomes include achieving energy autonomy and improved technical capabilities in the repair and construction of prostheses and aids, as well as increasing awareness and attention in the Pisa area towards the situation in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The beneficiaries of the project specifically include the 115 disabled children and adolescents assisted by the Viviane Foundation and its paramedical and technical staff (four people). The project will also benefit the families of disabled children and adolescents using the Health Center and the population of the Mbudi neighborhood, where the foundation is located.
