Who We Are and What We Do
DICA was born in the context of the experiences gained in the sectors of decentralized cooperation, international development cooperation, immigration and integration between different cultures, interculture and the culture and practice of solidarity and peace.
Mission
DICA Onlus promotes the diffusion, in Italy and internationally, of the European Union's values such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights, including people's rights belonging to minorities. Its aim is to promote initiatives and actions to support the sustainable socio-economic self-development of the populations of developing countries and those with serious deficiencies from a socio-economic, political and health point of view.
Vision
DICA promotes and implements at a local level, in continuity with international cooperation actions, initiatives in favor of citizens who have immigrated to Italy from countries not belonging to the European Union. This also in coordination with other associations, non-governmental organizations, bodies with similar purposes and public, national and international institutions, in compliance with the laws and regulations that govern cooperation activities at a national and international level. A further purpose is to carry out and organize other social promotion and volunteering activities, even if not yet specifically identified, aimed at pursuing its objectives.
