Who we are?

D.I.C.A was born thanks the experience gained in the field of decentralized cooperation, international development cooperation, migration and integration between different cultures, interculture, and the culture and practice of solidarity and peace.

D.I.C.A. promotes the diffusion, in Italy and internationally, of the values of the European Union such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and human rights, including the rights of persons belonging to minorities. It aims at the promotion of initiatives and actions that support the sustainable socio-economic self-development of the populations of developing countries and in countries with serious socio-economic, political and health deficiencies.

The association promotes and implements at the local level, in line with its international cooperation actions, initiatives in favor of immigrants citizens in Italy coming from countries outside of the European Union. This is also done in coordination with other associations, non-governmental organizations, bodies with similar purposes and public institutions, both national and international, in compliance with the laws and regulations governing cooperation activities at national and international level. A further purpose is to organize and carry out other activities to promote social and voluntary organizations, even if not specifically identified yet, aimed at the pursuit of its purposes.
